Syntax Cinema Orchestra has appeared on the Hungarian musical scene in 2006. This early „horror movie", the Cabinet of Dr. Caligari (original title: Das Cabinet des Dr. Caligari) is a groundbreaking 1920 silent film directed by Robert Wiene. At the night of 12th March in Toldi Cinema the Syntax Orchestra, accompanied by 4 fabulous musicians made a grandiose live show, improvising music to the classic erotic movie Emmanuelle 2. The brutal electroacoustic jamming of the musicians gave the counterbalance to the silky, kitschy movie, interpreting the scenes in an ironic way, making a surreal atmosphere.
